From the Margaroli hut the trail leads past Lake Vannino and up, through ample fields, towards the Scatta Minoia pass and the Conti bivouac. The trail is rocky towards Forno Inferiore, circles Lake Devero amongst pasture land, goes past Crampiolo and then finally reaches Alpe Devero.

GTA (248) - Sentiero Italia trail: from Alpe Devero to Scatta Minoia, Alpe Vannino and Ponte Formazza. From the Conti bivouac, the following climbs are possible: Mt. Minoia, Punte della Satta peak, Punte di Curzalma peak, Mt. Forno. From the Castiglioni hut: Mt.Cervandone, Punta Rossa peak, Punta d'Arbola peak, Pizzo Crampiolo peak, Punta Valdeserta peak.

    Itinéraire réalisé de Riale (D1) à MontCenis (D34) du 19/08 au 12/09/23.
    Depuis le refuge Margaroli, passer par la droite du lac et grimper vers le bivouac Ettori Conti (sommaire, 2 pièces avec table et banc + 6 couchages, très humide). En descendant vers l'Alpe Devero, plusieurs zones de bivouac possibles près des différents lacs à différentes altitudes (attention élevages bovins à proximité).
    Au niveau de Alpe Forno Inferiore (vente de fromage), le panneau est tourné et semble indiquer le chemin vers la droite : partir à gauche sur le chemin carrossable et suivre H98 CRAMPOLIO, ALPE DEVERO. A Crampolio, hôtel restaurant (Wifi) et vente de fromages, yaourts, charcuterie et pain. Quel intérêt de descendre à Alpe Devero, alors qu'il existe un chemin qui conduit directement au Pian della Rossa directement en restant à niveau ?
